Applies to the Verivault applicant portal and screening intake.
Information we collect
We collect the information you enter into your background check application: your name, contact details, date of birth, government identifier, address history, criminal-history responses, and any identity documents you upload. We also store your account email address.
How we use it
Your information is used for one purpose: to process and review the background check application you submitted, and to show you its status. We do not use it for advertising or profiling.
Who can see it
You can see your own application. Authorized screening staff and administrators can open your file to review it. No other applicant or account can access your record.
Documents
Uploaded identity documents are stored in private storage and are not publicly reachable. Reviewers access them through temporary links that expire.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We share it only with the employer or screening administrator who requested the check, and where disclosure is required by law.
Retention
Applications and documents are retained only as long as needed for the screening and any applicable record-keeping requirement, then removed on schedule.
Your choices
You can request a copy of your information, ask for corrections, or ask that your record be removed once retention requirements allow. Contact the employer or screening administrator who invited you to apply.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted on this page.
