Security
How we protect your information.
A background check asks for some of the most sensitive information a person has. These are the controls that sit around it, described plainly.
Encrypted in transit and at rest
Every submission travels over TLS and is stored in an encrypted, access-controlled database.
Private document vault
Identity documents are kept in private storage. Reviewers open them through short-lived, expiring links — never public URLs.
Role-based reviewer access
Only accounts explicitly granted a staff or admin role can open an application file. Applicants can see their own record and nothing else.
Sensitive fields are masked by default
Identifiers such as Social Security numbers are masked in the review console and revealed only on deliberate action.
Verified accounts only
Applicants must confirm their email address before an application can be submitted, which keeps records tied to a real inbox.
Scheduled retention
Records are retained only for as long as the screening and applicable requirements call for, then purged on schedule.
Your rights as an applicant
- You can sign in at any time to see the current status of your screening.
- You can request a copy of the information held about you.
- You can request correction of inaccurate details in your application.
- Your information is never sold, rented, or used for marketing.
To make a request, contact the employer or screening administrator who invited you to apply.
